About

We’re a homeschool family serving our King overseas in the Middle East.  We have five children currently: 11, 9, 6, 3 and the babe.

This blog started as a way to show our family the kids’ school things. When I started getting more and more strangers coming to see the lapbooks I was posting, I moved our kid pictures to a different blog and now aim this blog at other homeschool moms.

We only started using lapbooks over the summer (2009). After I had done a couple of free ones with the kids, I ordered one. I couldn’t believe it. I thought, I paid for this? I could do this myself. So, I figured out how.

Then I realized I could sell lapbooks. I made 5 country lapbooks over the summer. I received a contract from Currclick to sell them. The day I was going to send in the contract the Lord checked me. That wasn’t what I was supposed to do.

Erna, from Simply Lapbooks, asked me if she could link to something on my blog. At that point it had been supposed to be just for family so I asked her not to, but to make up for turning her down, I offered her my country lapbooks.

See how this progressed? We kept in touch and I offered her more things. She offered to put me on as moderator at the yahoo group so I could post my materials directly.

So here I am. I make everything available for free without requiring you to subscribe. If you want first notice of new materials, then sign up for the yahoo group.

Enjoy!

Lovely finding you and your site! Thanks for sharing all your creative, hard work. I, too, felt the Lord say, “Freely you have been given, freely give.” I have put a link to you on my site. God Bless.

Bless you for your generosity and kindness to other homeschooling families. Thank you so much for sharing.

I love lapbooking but for my teenage son I’ve extended it to a hybrid of notebooking, lapbooking and Powerpoint. He’s autistic/Asperger’s so I include lots and lots of variety plus lots of IT as that is something he really connects with!

There’s not much available in the UK for homeschoolers so I’m trying to use my years of teaching experience to create lots of stuff to put on my new site. As an ex-teacher with a special needs son I’ve seen how our education system can let these children down. I want to help other parents and educators in the UK (or anywhere else for that matter) to help their students achieve their potential.

You are a wonderful helper to other homeschoolers. Thank you.

    Blessings,
    Amanda

My children are making a power point presentation this week for the War of 1812. I like to mix and match, but my daughter is always asking for lapbooks so I try and do those the most.

Thank you so much for sharing your talent. It is truly a blessing to other homeschoolers. At this point in my homeschooling journey, I could not take the time to put together this kind of lapbook and cannot afford to buy them either. You have blessed my children immensly with your gifts.

    Blessings,
    Laura
